He loves PTerry's vanilla shake. Nearly had the whole thing himself. Mmmmmmm.

Jay is doing well at school. He starts with a new speech therapist this Monday. He is very strong willed but just as sweet and lovey as ever.

Yesterday he "told" me he had to potty by using the sign for potty. I was pretty shocked and I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not but I'll take a mess in the pot over his diaper any way I can get it.

Weather here is much more tolerable these days. We are playing outside more and he's trying to master the plasma car from Uncle Pat. Right now he's still content with us pushing him. He can steer though so he has that down.

We read a lot of books to Jay and he watches a few Elmo movies. He LOVES "Elmo goes to the Firehouse". He has a sign for Elmo and he uses it to ask to watch. I use the sign for "no" a lot too.  Haha. J/k. Language is a struggle for us right now. He still only says "more" but makes lots of sounds and is getting better at pointing. Progress is slow but I believe it's happening.
He's still very a happy, happy little man. Wakes with a smile on his face.  He is inquisitive, plays well with the other kids and still eats like a mini Michael Phelps.

Good catching up! So now maybe Devin will give me a break for slacking on this blog.
Love & hugs, Alexa

First day of PPCD

At school with the big kids three hours each morning. Ahhhh. PPCD stands for Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities. Jay's "disability" is he doesn't talk. He will though!! This is a great program through Austin Independent School District.  Maplewood Elementary School was just upgraded to "Recognized".  A great leap forward and resulting from involved parents, community and teachers.  Way to go Mustangs!

I'm THREE

Jay, we love you so much.

Beach time

Having a fun, fun time in Surfside, TX.

Zucchini Bread Helper

Making zucchini bread for daddy. Zucchini from our garden.  Jay had a fun time helping mommy.  I had to teach him how to lick the beaters and spatula.  He tried to stick the hole beater in his mouth.  Funny kid!  :)

Bunny

Ahhh!!! Save me mom!! Poor Jay.
Happy Easter friends.
