2nd Birthday Party

Jay turns 2 years old tomorrow (Tues, 8/10).  We had a blow out birthday party for him yesterday (Sun, 8/8).  We all had so much fun, had so many kids there and the house was quaking with all the commotion.  Jay had a great day, as evidenced by the photos in the link provided below. 

We are so thankful and grateful for our friends and family and most of all for our Jiamin Ford Manza!  We love that doodle bug so much.

We've been practicing eating with utensils.  Jay's getting the hang of it.  The video isn't his best work, guess he knew I was videotaping and didn't want to show off too bad.  But you get the idea. 

He had his first dentist appointment yesterday and that went really well.  She wants to see him every 6 months.  She said his teeth are very crowded and he'll need spacers when his adult teeth start to come in and then he'll need braces.  We figured as much.  But she said otherwise his teeth and good, no cavities.

Riding again!

I've been half way looking for a bike trailer and anything I saw new was too expensive.  Yesterday I was on our neighborhood forum and low and behold a woman had just posted she was selling her Columbia bike trailer for cheap.  I immediately puts dibs on it and when she got home from work yesterday I walked over, paid for it and walked it home.  It's awesome!  I just did a test ride around our 'hood and Jay was grinning the whole time (when I dared to look back!).  :)

Our new home and update

Jay is doing great!  We're all loving our new home and can't wait until we feel like we're all moved in.   On Wednesday I took Jay for his first trip to the swimming pool.  He took a little while to get used to it, he got upset a little bit but we just sat on the step together and eventually he started splashing around.  Thursday Emmie came down to try out the pool and we have pictures.  I bought Jay a float and he really dug that.  He's so cool.
